November 09, 2003SAUDI EDUCATORS IN OUR MIDST(Washington) November 7, 2003 The main author of the Saudi religious curriculum expressed his unequivocal support for the legalization of slavery in one of his lectures recorded on a cassette and obtained exclusively by SIA news. Leading government cleric Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan is the author of the religious books currently used to teach 5 million Saudi students, both within the [kingdom]and in Saudi schools aboard including those in the Washington, D.C. metro area. |
I read that article. Seem like a typical Wahhabi cleric.
I hadn't ever seen SIA before. A WHOIS lookup located them Virginia, under a guy with an Arab name. Any info on who/what SIA is?
Posted by: The Commissar on November 9, 2003 09:22 AMIt's the baby of Ali al Ahmed. Here's the description of an interview (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/saudi/interviews/ahmed.html)he gave to PBS "A Shi'a Muslim who grew up in Saudi Arabia, he is the executive director of the Saudi Institute, an independent human rights watchdog group based in McLean, Va. In this interview, he describes the conservative religious education all children in Saudi Arabia receive, which is dictated by the conservative Wahhabi religious clerics. He believes that the doctrines of intolerance and hate that are part of the compulsory Saudi religious education contributed to the attitude of Osama bin Laden and the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11. This interview was conducted on Nov. 9, 2001"

Posted by: rabidfox on November 10, 2003 08:31 PMIf this is what the Koran teaches, then Damn the Koran, and all of its false teachings, and perpetuators of this fraud on mankind. Slavery is the most de-grading form of injustice that ever debased human nature.
