OUR FRIENDS THE EGYPTIANS (CONT.)
No sooner had President Bush left his meeting with so-called moderate Arab leaders than the Foreign Minister of Egypt scoffed at “all this nonsense of grooming Abu Mazen as a rival to Mr. Arafat...” So much for our State Dept. utopian fantasies that Arab despots, whose regimes depend on scapegoating of Jews, might yield to sweet reason. President Bush, hard as it is to resist the clamor of the State Dept.'s "peace" lovers, do not forget these tyrants wish us ill.
I doubt he'll forget, Steve. Flight 93 was supposed to plunge itself into his house. A man isn't likely to forget such a thing.
The days when bloodthirsty Muslim dictators could run roughshod over the Middle East will soon be over.

cheer the fanatics while pretending to be American allies.
You never know what sticks in politics. Or inside the history books. Bush is obviously happy taking orders from the Saudis. He sees no harm in the rejectionism of the arabs. He doesn't even see a way to fight terrorism in Israel is something we're going to adopt here, too. Since, we prefer to remain blind. As long as the only ones asked to walk to their deaths are the Jews.
In terms of 'stupid' when Bush talks to his audience, he doesn't think much of most Americans. He thinks he can sell them this bill of goods. He thinks he sell stuff not even asked for. Just because his belt is buckled tight.
Clinton brought better luck to this country when he served. As to the lack of fighting terror well, I'll grant you that Clinton had good reasons to distrust our military. But this Bush just used them.
Just a rich kid asking others to take out the garbage. It will come home to roost, you know.
